Advanced Task Scheduler - is a multifunctional task scheduler, which allows launching programs and batch files, opening documents and Internet pages, displaying popup reminders, playing sounds, shutting down and restarting computer, stopping running processes, establishing and closing Internet connections, sending e-mail messages - automatically at a specified time, repeatedly at a time interval or by a system event.

In UNIX systems, the cron daemon exists to automate tasks that should be done periodically. Unfortunately, Windows provides only a very limited ability to automate tasks. HiBase Task Scheduler comes to the rescue. The program allows you to schedule various tasks. You can run applications at certain times, execute files using Windows file associations, copy/rename/delete files, etc. Task Scheduler has built-in ZIP compression support too.

Solway's Task Scheduler is a small program which enables you to start other programs automatically, or play (say) music files, or run batch files, periodically and at pre-defined times. This program functions very well in combination with backup software, disk fragmenters, virus scanners and other regularly scheduled system maintenance utilities.
